Environmental issues are an area of increasing concern. At LMI Group, we are actively tackling some of these issues through new product development, environmentally friendly office buildings, investments in technology and our lobbying activities.
In this website, we provide an overview of the program elements that will allow you a small taste of the environmental work being done around the Group.
As part of this, we have set some challenging targets for LMI Group to minimise it's environmental impact. To deliver on these, we all need to play our part. Details of our stated principles and targets are provided on separate pages. To view, please select the relevant item from the menu to the right.
Environment Principles
As part of our commitment to our Environmental Program, in 2000 LMI Group revised the Group's business principles to include a commitment to the environment. This is aimed at supporting the Group's environmental targets.
Commitment
We believe in continuous improvement of our environmental performance and in taking action around emerging environmental issues. Wherever we operate, we will seek positive engagement with local communities. We maintain the following commitments.
-
As a business, we have a responsibility to manage our impact on the environment through our use of resources such as energy, paper and water, and the investment of our assets.
-
We also have a responsibility to take proactive action on environmental issues that are likely to affect our business and the community at large.
-
In each of these areas, we will look to make continuous improvement, and actively monitor our performance.
